India Poker Tour
We are glad to announce the launch of the 1st ever poker tour to be held in India. With players from all over India and the world it is truly set to capture the poker imagination. Covering four cities, with the Grand Final to be held in Goa, where India's best will meet the best of the World's poker players. We expect you to succeed and enjoy more poker.
India - The Card Nation
India has always been a card loving nation, traditionally India has a long history of playing cards, now the India Poker Tour (IPT) is set to satisfy this craving. It's time for India's billion population to cheer for poker and position this game right next to cricket. It's now time to bring this game of skill into India and giving India its place in world poker history.
How To Enter
It's simple to enter all our events. You will be able to qualify from either our online or live satellites. All you do is decide which event you want to particpate in. Mumbai, Bangalore, Delhi, Goa or simply play in ALL 4, the choice is yours. Just email our team and register your interest so that we can contact you with a confirmed seat at our qualifying events. We look forward to seeing you at our IPT Events.
Change in Schedule
As you may be aware our event was due to launch October 2008, unfortunately we have temporaily postpone the event. We fully expect to launch the IPT in March and will announce the dates very soon. A more detailed explanation of our postponement is explained in the message from organisers column, but should you wish to gain more info please email us. Please rest assured we will be continuing our poker work and expect to relaunch very soon
Message from Organisers
We are proud of our association with the development of poker in India and expect the India Poker Tour to continue to thrive in India. Having been involved in organising the Asian Poker Classic, our team felt it was time to give India players the opportunity to enjoy poker in different regions of this beautiful card loving country.
With many Indian players succeeding in the international game, it was time to continue the growth of platforms in India to help develop the game of poker and ensure the development of our nations poker players.
As many of you were expecting to see us launch the IPT this October and November, I would like to apologise for the delay as we have had to postpone the event and will make an announcement very soon on the new dates, unfortunately as the Director of Operations, I have put a lot of time in the development of this project, but due to health reasons have been discouraged from getting back to work in the next 8 weeks. Therefore, in order for the event and development work to continue in the right vain, I have decided to temporarily postpone the event and expect to re-launch in March, a time where we feel we will do the event and poker more justice. I apologise to all those poker fans that have been keenly anticipating this event, but I promise to deliver this event to the standard the game deserves.
On behalf of all those who have shown interest in registering for the event and those that continue to show interest, we will hold a special event to thank them for their patience as a pre-launch to the IPT, with prizes including seats to the Grand Final IPT.
